Maine Medical Partners (MMP) has an opening for an Audiologist in their new medical facility in Scarborough, Maine. Our team services pediatric through geriatric populations with a focus on: diagnostic audiology, hearing aid sales and services, Cochlear Implants, vestibular testing, ABR testing, and more. The audiologists work alongside multiple ENT and advanced practitioners for comprehensive care for the greater Portland area.

 A degree in Audiology-Masters or Au.D. (Au.D. preferred) and 1-3+ years of audiology experience is required. New graduates are welcome to this opportunity. If you’re looking to join a great team, MMP encourages you to apply!

  • Position Summary
    • Position is responsible for providing primary care to patients who have hearing, balance and related ear problems. Assist patients of all ages working closely with providers to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment and implements habilitation/rehabilitation services for patients.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Degree in Audiology-Masters or Au.D.
    • License/Certifications: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and have a license issued by the State of Maine as an Audiologist, or be eligible.
    • Experience: One to three years of audiology experience, preferably in a clinical setting.
    • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, genetics, auditory, balance and neural systems assessment and treatment, diagnosis and treatment, pharmacology and ethics.
    • Knowledge of audiology equipment and measuring instruments.
    • Skill in counseling on adjusting to hearing loss and teaching communication strategies.
    • Skill in developing special treatment programs on an individualized basis for hearing, balance and neural issues.
    • Skill in recommending, fitting and dispensing personal or large are amplification systems and alerting devices.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and families with particular emphasis on listening strategies.
    • Ability to collaborate appropriately with other clinicians to diagnose audiology problems and develop treatment plans.
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
