  • Position Summary
    • The ED Tech I, under the direction of an Emergency Department Nurse, Emergency Department Physician, and/or private physician, facilitates and supports the provision of patient care. This will include performing tasks contributing to the care, safety and comfort of Emergency Department patients, families, guests; and to the functional operation of the Unit.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • License/Certifications: Basic Life Support Certification within six months of hire. Current workplace safety training (MOAB or CPI) within six months of hire.
    • Experience: One year experience working in a healthcare setting or current enrollment in a healthcare field of study required.
    • Proficient computer skills.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Coordinates pre-hospital Emergency Services communication, keeps personnel informed of in coming patients.
    • Assists with CPR.
