Franklin Community Health Group, a department of Franklin Memorial Hospital and integrated with Maine Medical Center quaternary 800 bed teaching hospital in Portland, Maine, is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Internal or Family Medicine Physician to join our team as a part-time hospitalist in a community hospital setting. Join us and you will also find supportive, collaborative colleagues; strong patient/provider relationships; comprehensive resources and advanced technologies, including fully integrated Epic EMR. 

Franklin Memorial Hospital (FMH) is a non-profit, full-service community hospital located in the beautiful western mountain region.  The successful candidate will join our current highly skilled Hospitalist physician team and supervised APP providers for daytime coverage, and physician nighttime coverage.  Daytime shifts will work alongside an APP provider as well as another Hospitalist. The Hospital Medicine Service admits and cares for patients with a range of medical diagnoses.  In addition, when appropriate, the team will admit and medically manage orthopedic and surgical patients in consultation with those specialties.  Preoperative and ED consultative services are provided.  Our Hospitalists also provide critical care, including ventilator management with fulltime onsite Respiratory Therapy support. The ability to perform procedures including intubation, central line placement, lumbar puncture, paracentesis and thoracentesis is preferred but not required.

This offers teaching opportunities of medical students, as Franklin Memorial Hospital, a member of MaineHealth, is one of the teaching sites for the Maine Medical Center – Tufts University Medical School program.
