LincolnHealth, in Beautiful Damariscotta, Maine has an opportunity for a Per Diem CRNA. 
 

About Damariscotta, Maine
Damariscotta is located approximately one hour north of Portland, in picturesque Lincoln County. It is known as the oyster capital of New England, highlighted by the annual Oyster Celebration every June. Just over 2,200 people live in this quaint coastal town, which offers beautiful homes, great public schools and an independent secondary school that attracts students from around the world. For outdoor enthusiasts, there are lakes and rivers, along with nearby beaches and mountains.
The CRNA will strive for professional excellence by demonstrating competence and commitment to the clinical, educational, consultative, research and administrative practice in the specialty of anesthesia at Miles Memorial Hospital.

  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Bachelor's degree from four year school or university, or three to five years' related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Graduate of a program of nurse anesthesia education accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program or its predecessor.  Demonstrates current competency in the clinical responsibilities for which the candidate applies.
    • License/Certifications: Current State of Maine Professional Registered Nurse. Current BLS and ACLS certification. Certification by Council of Recertification of AANA required. Council of Recertification of AANA required.
    • Experience: See "Education"
    • If not an employee of LincolnHealth (ie, Locum Tenens), insured by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer for the limits required by this institution and/or the State of Maine.
    • Membership in the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists recommended.
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
    • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.  Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, employees, customers and/or boards of directors.
