Maine Medical Partners - Southern Maine Health Care

Full Time – 40 hours

Night Shift

The Maine Medical Partner's and Southern Maine Health Care Hospitalist teams are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) working nights to care for patients in the hospitals at Southern Maine Health Care, Biddeford, Maine.  Practitioners are responsible for admissions, daily rounding, acute visits and discharges of patients as well as ordering and interpreting laboratory data. The APP will work collaboratively with physicians from within Hospital Medicine and other consulting services.  A great team based atmosphere with a strong hospital community provides an excellent supportive environment for practitioners to grow and achieve independence.   This position is full time at SMHC in Biddeford, Maine

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and successful completion of accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure.
  • Experience in hospital medicine preferred, not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to effectively triage, organize and prioritize.
  • Ability to function as part of a team.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Current ACLS/BCLS required
