Maine Medical Partners Division of Geriatrics at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine is currently seeking a Board-Certified Internist or Family Medicine physician with clinical skill in Geriatric Medicine (fellowship, advanced training or clinical experience) to join our team in the Southern Region of MaineHealth.   

  • Join 16 experienced physicians and 18 Advanced Practice Providers in a collaborative team-oriented environment.
  • Practice with state-of-the-art specialized equipment.
  • Schedules allow for longer appointment times with patients.
  • Physician mentorship opportunities are available for newly graduated Fellows with a demonstrated interest in developing leadership skills. 
  • Opportunities exist for leadership of the outpatient clinic, participation in outpatient geriatrics assessment or consultation, academic leadership, innovation in clinical care models, research and teaching.
  • Provide primary care to older adults as part of a new geriatrics primary care clinic and includes office visits as well as home visits.
  • Maine Medical Center’s Geriatric Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners also provide ongoing primary patient care at area nursing homes and New England Rehabilitation Hospital of Portland.
  • The Division of Geriatrics at Maine Medical Center encompasses all aspects of geriatric care, including inpatient and outpatient services, community resources and access to health care practitioners specifically trained in geriatrics.
  • The group provides care in other hospital service areas including Southern Maine Health Care, Stephen’s Memorial Hospital, and Franklin Memorial Hospital.
