The MaineHealth Cancer Care Network (MHCCN) is seeking a full time hematologist-oncologist for in-patient consultative services at the Maine Medical Center (MMC), Portland, ME.

Why In-patient Hematology-Oncology at MMC?

• MMC is the state’s leading tertiary care hospital with 700 licensed beds, a Level I Trauma Center and an affiliate of Tufts University School of Medicine with a full complement of residencies and fellowships.
• The in-patient Hematology-Oncology consultative service manages hematology and oncology consultations from different services across MMC.
• 40 weeks Monday-Friday per year – 8 am to 5 pm per shift with APP and/or fellow support on consults.
• 3 weeks on followed by a week off.
• Hematology/oncology navigation support for inpatient to outpatient transitions of care.
• Equal participation in weekend / weeknight call schedule (average 1:8)
• Supervision and teaching of fellows, residents and medical students on consult rotation
• State of the art, designated acute hematology unit for in-patient care, staffed by MHCCN hematology faculty.  The consultative physician will not manage this service.

Required Qualifications-

• A degree in medicine from an accredited medical school.
• Successful completion of Residency/Fellowship at an accredited program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible for Oncology or hematology and oncology.
