Advanced Practice Provider –  Neurology - Outpatient

Maine Medical Partners Neurology, a MaineHealth member, is seeking an Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to assist in the care of individuals with movement disorders in our well-established practice located on the beautiful Southern coast of Maine. This position is 100% outpatient with no inpatient consultation. There is no call coverage, and this is a benefited part-time, 30 hours per week position.  

This position is based at MaineHealth’s Scarborough campus, where there are 9 other subspecialty Adult Nurse Practitioners. The successful candidate will work with the movement disorder neurologists to assist in the initial evaluation and management of patients with movement disorders (such as Parkinsons’ disease, chorea, tremor, dystonia).   All APPs assist in headache evaluations, the daily responses to patient phone calls, MyChart messages, review of lab/imaging results and communication to patients regarding these results, both for their own patients as well as dedicated time to assist with the respective subspecialty attendings’ work.   

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Successful completion of accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
  • Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure
  • Epic experience preferred
