Advanced Practice Provider – MaineHealth Vascular Surgery

Scarborough and Biddeford, Maine

MaineHealth Maine Medical Center has an ambulatory opening for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join the Vascular Surgery team.  The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) on the Vascular Team see patients in joint visits, see their own patients and supports our nursing team with triage, provides vascular care, post-op management, vascular follow-up and maintenance care to patients in the outpatient setting. This includes assistance with procedures in the interventional suite as well as the vein center. The Vascular Surgeons care for patients across the state and have outreach clinics in Biddeford and Lewiston with a central location in Scarborough.  As a part of the Vascular Care team, your primary practice location will be Scarborough and Biddeford, ME. This full-time position requires knowledge of vascular procedures and surgery.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • A minimum of 1 year practicing in a Vascular Outpatient setting or 2 years APP general practice preferred.
  • Ability to effectively establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with staff physicians, nursing and allied health professionals, other hospital staff and patients.
  • Act as liaison between medical and other staff.
  • Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure.
  • Current BLS certification.
