Western Maine Primary Care, a department of Stephens Memorial Hospital, is currently seeking a BC/BE family medicine physician to join our exceptional team of providers, flexible hours available.  Western Maine Primary Care is committed to providing high quality care to our patients and is a NCQA recognized Level Three – Patient Centered Medical Home. Now is a great time to join our team as we recently relocated our practice to our brand new, state-of-the-art medical office building. Come be a part of our dynamic team of family medicine physicians and nurse practitioners with exceptional support staff. We have a strong, dedicated group of physicians and in addition to providing general family medicine care we have an addiction fellowship trained family physician, integrative medicine fellowship trained physician that offer consults to our patients. Call is outpatient only and is phone calls divided equally among the physician group.

Stephens Memorial Hospital, a 25-bed critical access hospital, is a proud member of MaineHealth, the premier healthcare system in Maine, and is nationally renowned for its innovative programs in rural healthcare.  Stephens offers multiple academic opportunities including medical student education as a site for the Maine Medical Center – Tufts University Medical School program, resident teaching and mentorship, and being involved in research. We offer competitive salary and benefits, including student loan repayment stipend and relocation assistance. Additionally, we are a designated National Health Service Corps site which allow primary care physicians to participate in additional competitive loan repayment programs through NHSC.  We also are a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PLSF) Program.

Norway Maine, is a scenic affordable community in the heart of a four-season recreation. Surrounded by more than ten lakes and ponds, Norway is a haven for boating, swimming, fishing and ice skating. The nearby mountains provide hiking with vista views of Mount Washington and the Presidential Range. Family ski resorts, including Sunday River, are less than an hour away. Excellent public and private schools and a variety of housing options make Norway an exceptional place to call home. Downtown Portland is located 45 miles away (about an hour drive) and is a great city to explore for excellent dining, entertainment and air travel.
