  • Position Summary
    • We are looking for an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with flexibility in their schedule.  Under the supervision of a physician, the CRNA administers anesthetics for medical, surgical and diagnostic procedures as delineated by clinical privileges and in accordance with standards of practice governing the administration of anesthesia by a nurse anesthetist.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and an accredited school of nurse anesthesia.
    • License/Certifications: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine. Successful completion of an accredited course for Nurse Anesthesia Providers, with certification as a Nurse Anesthetist by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. Current BCLS and ACLS required.
    • Experience: Previous regional anesthesia training/experience is desirable.
    • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of all procedures and equipment to administer anesthesia
    • Knowledge of chart/medical record documentation and terminology requirements and federal/state laws related to release of health care information
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with patients and other members of the healthcare team
    • Ability to calculate and administer drug dosages and injections and measure results
    • Ability to maintain professional manner even under stressful situations
