Maine Behavioral Healthcare (MBH) opens brand new inpatient units in Sanford Maine.

In collaboration with Southern Maine Healthcare and MaineHealth, MBH opened the all new inpatient behavioral health unit and EDAP (Emergency Department Acute Psychiatry) in Sanford to patients on October 20. This project significantly enhances and expands the scope of health services offered in York County by tripling the number of short stay behavioral health beds and creating emergency and inpatient access.

We are seeking a full time Inpatient Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

DUTIES OF THE JOB

Under the direction of a physician or the Medical Director, this position will

  • Primary psychiatric medical care on the inpatient nursing unit
  • Psychiatric evaluations
  • Medication management in conjunction with a primary care provider
  • Co-manage case load with physicians

Desired COMPETENCIES, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Master's degree with advanced knowledge and medical training
  • 2 + years of inpatient PMHNP experience required
  • Advanced skill and knowledge in conducting psychiatric evaluations and treating patients
  • Ability to attain (or currently licensed as) an Advanced Practice RN License in the State of Maine
