  • Position Summary
    • The APP Clinical Director with support from the Medical Director is responsible for supporting Advanced Practice Providers (APP) within Walk In Centers to ensure the development, implementation, and maintenance of Clinical Processes and Initiatives. This includes Clinical Workforce development, development and reporting of Quality and Safety measures, incorporation of Community Health initiatives and Patient Access, and participation in Business planning and development .

      The position reports directly to the Vice President, Retail Business Development; the position reports clinically to the SMHC Medical Director, Walk In Care. The APP Clinical Director will work in collaboration with a designated Administrator in a Dyad relationship; specifically the Business Director for Walk In Care.

      The position is expected to require 50% time commitment for a full time provider

  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: See”License/Certificatons.
    • License/Certifications: Current APP (PA or NP) and licensed to practice in the State of Maine required.    Boad Certified in their Specialty and participating in Maintenance of Certification.   BLS certification.
    • Experience:  Five or more years of clinical practice experience.   Three of more years of Leadership Experience; formal leadership training preferred.
    • Continued Clinical practice sufficient to maintain competency in their specialty.
    • Full time position with 50% allocated to the APP Clinical Director role and 50% to clinical activities.
    • Knowledge of TJC accreditation requirements, and state and federal regulations including OSHA, HIPAA, blood borne pathogens and others.
    • Experience in urgent care, emergency care or similar on-demand services
