Maine Medical Partners, a MaineHealth member, is recruiting for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife to provide advanced level health care to patients in our Women’s Health – OBGYN Clinic. The development of a medical/nursing care plan encompasses collaboration and coordination with the patient/family, physician, appropriate other staff and community resources. This is a dynamic practice working with a diverse population of patients, and supporting residents completing their clinical rotations. Ideal candidates have prior Women’s Health/OBGYN experience, but advance practice providers with a special interest in community health and the population we serve will be equally considered.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Advanced knowledge of nursing theory and practice, and additional specialized medical training, in order to provide expanded nursing practice at a level generally acquired through completion of concentrated study and clinical internship leading to a Master's Degree.
- License/Certifications: Current license and registration to practice as a Registered Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife as required in the State of Maine.
- Experience: Advanced skill and knowledge in conducting physical examinations and treating patients in expanded practice model with minimal direction at a level generally acquired through two to three years in-depth experience as a Nurse Practitioner
- Analytical abilities necessary to obtain medical histories, conduct physical examinations, prepare complex treatment plans, and treat assigned patients with minimal guidance and direction.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to collaborate with a variety of personnel (e.g., patients, employees, physicians, and other health care professionals.)
