LincolnHealth in Beautiful Damariscotta, Maine is currently recruiting for a Full Time - Lead CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist), to join our 25-bed critical access hospital. This full-time opportunity offers a sign on bonus and a very robust benefits package.

The Lead CRNA will be responsible for the management of nurse anesthesia services in collaboration with departments of Anesthesia, Surgery, and Nursing. The individual participates in development and interpretation of organizational policies for budgets and personnel, assumes responsibility for safe and proper operation and quality control of equipment, techniques, and procedures. Analyzes and evaluates activities to assure quality patient care and participates in assuring proper billing compliance and budgeting. Will provide clinical services as a CRNA including, but not limited to, administration of anesthesia and pain care services and performance of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. The lead CRNA is a professional anesthesia provider who administers inhalational agents and any drugs, including narcotics, to provide adequate, safe anesthesia to patients during surgical, obstetrical, and diagnostic procedures in consultation with an anesthesiologist, performing under the anesthesia care team model. The lead CRNA collaborates with the Medical Director of Anesthesia Services, the Director of Surgical Services and the Director of Lincoln Medical Partners Operations to achieve operational objectives and assists in the supervision and evaluation of CRNAs.

  • Education: Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.
  • License/Certifications: Holds current active state licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Maine, and complies with any applicable state statutory and regulatory requirements concerning advanced practice registered nursing. Currently certified or re-certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists. Must be board certified as a Nurse Anesthetist by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a CRNA
